Carmen Wright has been on a journey to regain her health since starting a ketogenic lifestyle in August of 2019. After having children in her thirties Carmen found herself going from 125 lbs. to 330 lbs. Several surgeries, PCOS, and more. Her sister (who worked as a medical transcriptionist) was the first one to point out that Carmen had all of the signs of lipedema. That lead to searches on YouTube and Facebook Groups to find out as much information as possible. Leading her to keto and the supportive Dercum's Disease and Other Fat Disorders Canada FaceBook group.

With Keto /Ketovore and elimination of foods that she was sensitive to Carmen has regained her health but still struggles with the lipedema and multiple lipomas.

Carmen works as an IT Support Manager and WebMaster, and is a digital artist. Hence the store name ITGirlByCarmen.

With this arsenal of skill Carmen volunteered to assist Kim Wilson of the Dercum's Disease and Other Fat Disorders Canada FaceBook group, with developing the Group's logo, website and platform for the CLF Conference. As well as established the store to help offset some of the costs of the group.
